My First Translation Work was Published

Hello dear Readers,

I am so sorry for not being here that much lately. Life and work happen and sometimes is harder to keep up with everything but luckily I have still managed to get lots of reading  and writing done, which I will be sharing my recent reads and what I am planning for NaNoWriMo 2018, on a new blog post later.

For now, just wanted to share with you some exciting news, again, sorry for being late with the announcement but never too late.

Last year I had the opportunity to work with Author Kerr-Ann Dempster and helped her translating one of her published works, The Reluctant Sacrifice, from the english language to the spanish language. An amazing experience which I will always be grateful to her for such opportunity.

El Sacrificio Imposible (The Reluctant Sacrifice) is a young adult, paranormal romance, which tells us the story of Aubrey who has to jump from body to body to survive and ultimately despite her love for Joshua try to escape from him and the sacrifice she is being forced to go through in order to save the people from Aramith.

My Thoughts

Definitely one of the best books I have read this year. The message throughout every page is clear, thanks to a fantastic writing style the Author manages to connect with the reader and shows us yes a sad story but at the same time a powerful one. 

A heartbreaking journey for Starr which a such young age has witnessed the reality of a world that instead of getting better seems like it gets worst every day. A book about the reality we are living in with the white and black community and the police, and how this affects families, in this case Starr's family and how she deals with it. 

Also we can see the Author bringing up other issues around Racism which are part of the reality with are living it as well. 

I loved Starr's character, how we can relate with it in different ways and all what she goes through. A hard book to read at times but definitely worthy. Highly recommend it.

My Thoughts

This was our Novels at Night IG Book Club pick of the month for March and I liked it and enjoyed it a lot. The secon re telling I read and this one did not dissapoint. I now understand why lots of people love these series so much. I do not read much fantasy and this one was a great reading experience for me. The writing style is amazing, character development and world building on point, and action packed scenes. I will definitely be reading A Court of Mist and Fury and totally recommend A Court of Thorns and Roses.
