My Thoughts

The Brontë Plot was one of these books that as much as I wanted to like it and connect with the characters, it was not the case. I found it to be slow and never got me really interested in the main character Lucy and what was going on in the story. What I did like was the conversations about books between Lucy and Helen but other than that there was nothing really for me to like about this book. The plot was not a good one. I did not like the author's writing style and as I said the characters were not strong or believable. I think the way the story is presented does not allow the reader to really get to know the characters, their feelings, not so much detail given and confusing at times. Unfortunately, The Brontë Plot was a book hard to read and for what we can read in its description, the expectations were high but a little disappointed after reading it
